Complementary Healthcare is a term used to describe a broad range of natural therapies that can be used alongside conventional medicine. At HOCH we aim to provide a natural approach to many every day health issues, through the use of therapies such as Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Bach Flower Remedies, Indian head and Swedish Massage techniques.
Karen started her career as a professional violinist and teacher in Surrey, which she combined with raising her two children. Since then she has become increasingly involved in healthcare, after close family members became effected by neurological disease. This led to her current career as a complementary therapist in 2010.
Karen has a Foundation Degree in the science of complementary therapies (FdSc) and a VTCT Diploma in Aromatherapy, Reflexology and Swedish massage. She also has a diploma in Indian Head Massage Massage and is fully qualified as a Bach Flower Remedy Practitioner. Karen is a professional member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT).
Karen's primary experience lies in therapeutic care for cancer sufferers and terminally ill patients, at Woking Hospice and the Cancer Unit at St Luke's, Royal Surrey County Hospital. Karen uses a range of complementary therapies to help patients and their families, deal with many of the chromic symptoms of disease and side effects of drugs such as chemotherapy. She has a particular interest in Motor Neurone Disease Association which she regularly supports by attending an MND support group and providing massage to fundraising runners at the London Marathon.Contact
